earthseed: freedom

Inspired by Octavia Butler, indigenous temescal technologies, Guadalupe Maravilla, and Harriet Tubman’s north star, Earthseed is an immersive, intimate storytelling structure. Upon entering the dark temescal interior, users are invited to touch led-powered stars that compose the north star and big dipper constellations. Behind each star, users hear different freedom stories from contemporary and transitioned elders who have shaped my mind and heart. The immersion is to be experienced one person at a time.
